The Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) is an international foundation whose primary fields of activity include Security Sector Reform (SSR) and Security Sector Governance (SSG). The DCAF is one of the main stakeholders in the Maison de la paix – a complex which was opened in phases from September 2013 to January 2015 in the international organisation quarter of Geneva and which houses, in addition to DCAF, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining, and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.
